ICING on the CAKE - CAKE DECORATING 101

4- 5:30PM (kids are welcome as early as 3:30 if that helps with your schedule).

Icing is so much fun to PLAY with!
In this class we’ll learn how to make several kinds of icing and how to apply them with various tips and methods. We’ll use cake decorating wheels, piping tips and templates to help us learn and practice the art of cake decorating.

WEEK 1 - BUTTERCREAM + CREAM CHEESE FROSTING for decorating and using piping bags and tips to decorate cupcakes.

WEEK 2 - ROYAL ICING for decorating sugar cookies using piping bags and tips and “flooding” icing to create beautiful cookies.

WEEK 3 - GANACHE and MERINGUE to make delicious and beautiful cupcakes.

WEEK 4 - GRANDE FINALE - each student will create their own 6” cake to decorate using the skills they have learned.


$100 includes 4 classes, apron and all materials.
Students will go home with a treat to share each week.

Recommended for kids over age 8.
Nut free class. 

This class will be taught by Cheryl Munoz who’s mother is a Wilton instructor and makes beautiful cakes for her friends and neighbors. Cheryl has been learning from her mom for years and is excited to share her love of decorating with the students at Sugar Beet Schoolhouse.
It will be a fun, playful and relaxed environment. After all - it’s cake!
