Join us on Sunday May 7th for a workshop on Best Organic Lawn Care Practices. The workshop will be led by Deep Roots Project Team Member Jeff Swano (Owner of Digrightin Landscaping, www.digrightin.com). The workshop will be from 1 - 3 PM at Sugar Beet Schoolhouse, 349 Ashland Ave, River Forest. Held Rain or Shine (program will be held inside).
The Deep Roots Project is a dedicated team of creative and inspiring teachers, marketers and managers who have synergized with professional organic landscapers. They are committed to promoting good environmental stewardship of our community’s natural resources. This movement has already been building for years and has gained the support of 11 amazing local organizations to take their work to the next level. This collaboration will help to ensure Deep Roots success as we engage the public with our loud and clear call to action.
This workshop will teach you about the sustainable organic way to keep up with your lawn care. You will learn about how organic lawn care uses fewer inputs over time which lowers the cost over time as opposed to chemical applications which you “apply til you die”. Come learn the benefits of organic growing practices and don't forget to spread the word to your family and friends after the workshop!
